OUR STORY

A unique Rotary club of Rotary International District 3790 that established its roots in August 1999, as conceived by Past Presidents Armand Montesa and Jess De Guzman of Rotary Club of Dagupan which subsequently was approved by Past District Governor Alvin Gonzales. Thus, in March 8, 2000, the club held its first induction of officers and directors led by Charter President Gonzalo T. Duque.

The distinctiveness of Rotary Club of Uptown Dagupan 2000 is the innovation of welcoming both men and women under its hold. An innovation that is symbolic of the evolving egalitarian culture of Rotary. Opening the club to new sources of quality memberships and opening the window to women empowerment. As of 2021, the club membership increased by 10% with a total of 34 active and dedicated Rotarians.

Since receiving its Charter in 2000, several outstanding Rotarians have served as President. Their leadership and dedication to the Object of Rotary has contributed to the commitment of Rotarians who consistently demonstrate “SERVICE ABOVE SELF” to Rotary Club of Uptown Dagupan 2000 and District 3790.
